10. Sony SmartWatch 3

Sony Smart Watch 3 - Best Smartwatch
The Sony SmartWatch 3 is the first Sony watch that comes with Android Wear. While some Android Wear watches make an effort to be stylish but the Sony SmartWatch 3 has passed by the option to be stylish entirely. Lucky for Sony, style isn’t all you need to be considered as one of the top ten smartwatches of 2015.
The SSW3 features a square face and rubber strap that gives it a chunky appearance, but the fit still manages to be comfortable. The strap on the watch is both flexible and  interchangeable, (with other straps offered by Sony) and comes in a variety of colors including green, black, pink, and white. The watch charges via a micro-USB port hidden by a removable rubber stopper on the backside of the face. If you want the watch to live up to its I68-rating for water resistance, it’s best to leave the rubber stopper in place at all times unless charging. The SSW3 also features built-in GPS, WiFi, and NFC capabilities.
The 1.6-inch screen boasts a 320 x 320 resolution (which equals a pixel density of 283 ppi) making it one of the sharpest displays you’ll find on any Android Wear device. The transflective LCD makes it easy to view in direct sunlight. The battery life on this baby is amazing thanks to a 420 mAh battery that’s guaranteed to last a full 48-hours with average use. So, what the SSW3 lacks in style, it certainly makes up for in features.

9. Pebble Time Steel

PebbleTimeSteel - Best smartwatch

The Pebble Time Steel is considered by many to be the “grown-up version” of the Pebble Time smartwatch. Pebble Time Steel has earned its grown-up title thanks to its stainless steel design, familiar curved cased, and e-paper display. It’s heavier and slightly thicker than the original plastic version but the battery – which is claimed to last 10 days at a time – fits much better in this design. This smartwatch comes in classy silver, black, and gold cover finishes with a leather band.
The 1.25 inch colored e-paper display is stunning. Pushing 30 frames per second, it can’t compete with displays made by Samsung or LG,  but it still supports great readability in sunlight. In addition to its killer display, wearers will find a built in microphone for quick note-taking voice replies. Features like Bluetooth 4.0, an ambient light sensor, compass, and 3D accelerometer are included as well. A magnetic connector and USB charging cable are also included. Oh, and did we mention it’s waterproof?
Pebble Time Steel will work with all Android 4.0+ smartphones and all iPhone running iOS 8 (iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus). Compared to Pebble Time, this smartwatch got some insane cosmetic makeovers and would make a great addition to any working professional’s wardrobe.
Pebble Time Steel is one of the most anticipated smartwatches of 2015 and will be available for purchase this July.

6. Motorola Moto 360

Moto360 - Best smartwatch

If any smartwatch on this list proves that smartwatches can be fashionable it’s the Moto 360. It’s circular watch face was clearly inspired by classic wristwatches with analog tickers and this smartwatch certainly did the industry proud. The LG G Watch R is a beautifully designed watch, but there’s just no stacking up to the Moto 360’s 1.56 inch, LCD gorilla glass display. The stainless steel case and leather wristband make it an appropriate accessory for most any occasion.
Filling the practically perfect circle that is the Moto 360 watch face 205 pixels per inch with a 320 x 290 resolution, also similar to the LG G Watch R. The watch is lighter than the LG G Watch R though and fits more comfortably on the wrist thanks to its adjustable strap. The 360 also comes with an interesting ‘Theatre Mode’ feature that allows wearers to mute vibrations and darken the screen. It’s also worth noting that swiping is simple on the circular face of the watch, making it easy to reply to messages, delete, or open messages on your phone.
A Texas Instruments OMAP 3 processor helps the 360 tick and the smartwatch is currently running Android Lollipop 5.0. The Moto 360 responds to voice commands via a small microphone on the left side of the watch face, tracks health and fitness, and supplies you with a steady stream of updates and notifications. It also comes with a wireless charging dock and wall charger that you’ll be using every 24 hours or so thanks to the device’s decent battery life.
The Motorola Moto 360 is beautifully designed and is definitely the best smartwatch for professional and fashion-forward individuals of the world.

5. Asus ZenWatch

Asus ZenWatch - Best Smartwatch

The Asus ZenWatch was a surprise given that the smartwatch is the first ever released by Asus, a company that just wasn’t expected to enter the world of wearables. But, lucky for Asus, it was a pleasant surprise to consumers everywhere. Well, those who use Android’s any way. iPhone users are out of luck – the Asus ZenWatch is only compatible with Android smartphones.
The face is a rectangular-round edged shape that isn’t going to win any awards for design and style but it doesn’t stop the ZenWatch from being an attractive smartwatch. However, the 1.63 inch, 320 x 320 (278ppi) display is easy on the eyes. It’s a higher density than the Sony SmartWatch 3, LG G Watch R, or the Moto 360 featured above. There’s no ambient light sensor in the ZenWatch though so you’ll have to manually adjust the screen’s brightness. Asus’s ZenWatch also boasts a comfy leather strap and bezel in brushed-steel.
A Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 400 to be exact, lies at the heart of this smartwatch. It’s an impressive and powerful dual-core chip. Voice recognition is good and notifications are handy, but if you don’t want to use a template, it’s best to reply with your phone. This smartwatch boasts a bio-sensor, useful for measuring things like heart-rate and steps taken, and it also comes with a Micro USB and charging cradle. Battery life lasts about 24 hours.
The Asus ZenWatch is a premier device from a company nobody expected to compete in the wearables market and it’s a great choice for smartwatch wearers who want to try something different.

  • Water resistant

4. Alcatel OneTouch Watch

AlcatelOneTouch - Best smartwatch

The Alcatel OneTouch is an interesting smartwatch that has the potential to make Alcatel a big-time wearables contender. The smartwatch is geared towards being both affordable and comprehensive, with the ability to work with Android and iOS devices. The watch face is a circular 1.2 inch full-color display (with Moto 360-like aspirations) making it one of the smallest and lightest smartwatches on this list. With a 240 x 204 resolution, it isn’t going to blow you away, but it’s most likely going to find it’s way onto your ‘options’ list.
The OneTouch boasts a STM 249 chipset and a 210 mAh battery which can last between 24 and 72 hours on a single charge (based on mixed use). To charge the watch, all you need is a computer because Alcatel tucked the USB charger right into the wristband. Clever move, huh? The OneTouch is dust and water resistant and boasts fitness tracking features,  music control, location tracking, and the ability to check multiple notifications.
In addition to all the above, this smartwatch also comes with e-Compass, NFC tag and vibration motor, a heart-rate sensor, gyroscope and more. The interface is pretty basic but easy to use, and it provides users with a neat little camera feature.
The Alcatel OneTouch Watch has the core functions required for a smartwatch and price tag ($149) that won’t break the bank, making it the perfect smartwatch for anyone looking to pick up their first wearable. Alcatel has yet to reveal when the smartwatch will be available to the public, merely hinting that the wearable will be available during 2015.

3. Samsung Gear S

SamsungGearS - Best smartwatch

The Samsung Gear S smartwatch is Samsung’s sixth smartwatch in a little over a year but there is one feature that sets it apart from all the rest: It gets it’s own cell service, data, and SIM-card slot. It’s a watch that is also a phone. But it still needs a Samsung smartphone to make most of the features work (even though it has its own QWERTY keyboard).
The Gear S has a big, bright, curved display with chromed edges and a beautiful LED touchscreen. The rubber band it comes with is interchangeable and snaps on for easy adjustments – a one size fits all kind-of thing. The smartwatch is IP67- rated water resistant which means you can get it wet but it’s not a good idea to swim or shower while wearing it.
The Gear S vibrates or sounds an alarm when you get messages, boasts and abundant amount of fitness features, weather features, and GPS. It also has WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G cellular. But it’s display is by far it’s most impressive feature. The Gear S has a 2 inch 480 x 360 AMOLED display; bigger and clearer than any other smartwatch on this list.  The voice recognition works almost flawlessly.
The Samsung Gear S comes with it’s own bonus battery pack an the expectancy to last between one and two days on a single charge. If you’re looking for a smartwatch that is arguably ‘best for display’ as compared to every other smartwatch on the market, you want the Gear S. • 300 mAh battery
  • 4 GB internal memory

2. LG Watch Urbane LTE

LGWatchUrbane - Best smartwatch

The LG Watch Urbane LTE is the first smartwatch with 4G capabilities  which means you can send messages and make calls without being tethered to your smartphone (like with the Samsung Gear S for example). It boasts an impressive walkie-talkie feature that will allow you to quickly communicate with other Urbane wearers.
The Urbane LTE is powered by a webOS operating system, 4 GB RAM, a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, and a 700 mAh battery that LG claims will last for days. It also boasts a 1.3 inch plastic OLED display with a colorful, customizable, bubble-filled app menu. LG also claims that the watch is able to withstand dust and deep water.
For tech geeks and fashionistas who like to get their hands on the latest technology as soon as it drops, this smartwatch is for you.
There are no rumors and pricing yet, but wearable fanatics everywhere are eagerly anticipating the LG Watch Urbane LTE’s rumored April release.
Speaking of April releases. Here comes the most anticipated smartwatch of 2015

1. Apple Watch

AppleWatch - Best smartwatch

Did you really think we’d put out a smartwatch list and not mention the most anticipated smartwatch release of 2015? Pre-orders for the Apple Watch will begin on April 10th and you’ll be able to buy the Apple Watch on April 24th. The average price of this smartwatch is expected to be about $350.
The Apple Watch will happily deliver app notifications, calls, and texts right to your wrist. You’ll be able to reply to messages via voice-commands or canned texts. The watch will also function as a fitness tracker and assistant that will allow you to check into hotels using NFC, keep an eye on things at home when you sync it to live feed security cameras, and send mini-snapshots of your heartbeat to friends with Apple Watches.
Apple’s smartwatch will come in 38 mm 1.5 inch display and 42 mm 1.65 inch display sizes. The retina display is super-bright and pin-sharp and expected battery life is 18 hours. So, I guess we’ll just have to wait until April to see if the Apple Watch can live up to all the hype and compete with the other smartwatches on this list. It’s easily the most anticipated smartwatch of 2015 but it’s looking like everybody has some serious competition this year.

Thank you
